“I was born and raised in Houston, TX. I attended Catholic School my whole life through High School. After attending a public university for 2 years and struggling to find my way, I found myself in a small perpetual Adoration Chapel late one night. I finally told the Lord to let me know what He wanted me to do with my life and I would do it. In that moment, I heard the Lord calling me to pursue a Theology degree and begin teaching the faith to others. I applied to transfer to a Catholic University that very evening. While pursuing my Theology degree, my home parish called and asked me to come work for them in their Faith Formation department. I worked in my home parish for four years doing everything from Catechesis, Adult Faith Formation, RCIA and Youth Ministry while finishing my bachelors and master’s degrees in Theology. I was then offered a job as the Associate Director in the Office of Youth Ministry for the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston. While attending a national youth ministry gathering, I met the woman who is now my now wife, who worked in the Office of Youth Ministry for the Archdiocese of New York. After dating long distance between Texas and New York, we were married in 2015 and moved to Connecticut. We continue to strive for holiness each and every day. I am blessed to be able to work for the Diocese of Bridgeport as the Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Formation.”
